Founded in 1955 as CITA, renamed to CYTA in 1961. CYTA is both an ISP and Network Operator, selling broadband, Internet access, fixed telephony, and mobile services directly to consumers. CYTA owns and operates fixed (copper, fibre) and international infrastructure (submarine cables, MPLS, satellite). In 2004, launched multi-service broadband platform using Gigabit Ethernet aggregation over DSL. By 2023, achieved 100% population coverage of very-high-capacity networks (VHCN) in urban/suburban areas, with 340,000 premises connected via fibre.
