Kazakhtelecom is an ISP and Network Operator that owns and operates national fiber-optic backbone networks while selling fixed broadband (Megaline), telephony, and pay TV services directly to residential and business consumers across Kazakhstan since its founding on June 17, 1994, by government resolution, with major milestones including the launch of ADSL-based Megaline broadband in 2005, FTTH fiber-optic project initiation in 2011, acquisition of stakes in mobile operators Kcell and Tele2/Altel in 2019-2020, and ongoing expansion of GPON networks for gigabit speeds in major cities (Source), (Source).
