M1 is an ISP and Network Operator that deploys and operates active equipment on Singapore's shared full-fibre infrastructure while selling high-speed broadband (up to 10 Gbit/s), fixed voice, and bundled services directly to residential and business consumers nationwide since its founding in 1994 as a consortium of Keppel Corporation, Singapore Press Holdings, Cable & Wireless, and Hong Kong Telecom with commercial launch in April 1997, with major milestones including the first 1 Gbit/s fiber plan announcement in September 2010, nationwide 4G rollout in 2013, acquisition of Qala ISP in 2009 for fixed broadband entry, delisting from the Singapore Exchange in April 2019 after Keppel's full buyout, and a pending acquisition of its telecommunications operations by Simba Telecom for S$1.43 billion announced in August 2025 and awaiting regulatory approval as of November 2025; the organization continues to operate independently under Keppel's majority ownership in its current state with no completed dissolution (Source), (Source).
