Polkomtel is an ISP and Network Operator that builds and owns its own LTE/5G mobile, TD-LTE fixed wireless, and limited fiber infrastructure while selling mobile broadband, fixed wireless home internet, telephony, and pay-TV services directly to residential and business consumers nationwide under the Plus brand; founded in 1995 as a consortium to secure Poland's second GSM license, launched Plus GSM services in 1996, acquired by Zygmunt Solorz-Żak-led consortium in 2011 for PLN 15.1 billion, merged with Aero2 in 2021 for expanded low-cost mobile/virtual offerings, and integrated into Cyfrowy Polsat (now Grupa Polsat Plus) for multiplay bundling with fixed services via Netia since 2018 (Source), (Source), (Source), (Source).
