Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) is an ISP selling fixed broadband directly to consumers and businesses via fibre and copper, and a Network Operator owning the majority of Sri Lanka's fixed-line infrastructure including FTTH and legacy copper, founded in 1991 after the separation from the Department of Telecommunications with major milestones including partial privatization in 1997 (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone acquiring 35.5%), the 2008 launch of IPTV, and the 2019 nationwide FTTH rollout (Source), (Source).
