StarHub is an ISP and Network Operator that builds and owns its own legacy HFC cable infrastructure while selling fixed broadband, mobile, telephony, and pay-TV services directly to residential and business consumers nationwide, with active layer operations on the NBN via subsidiary Nucleus Connect. Founded on 7 May 1998 as a joint venture of ST Telemedia, Singapore Power, BT Group, and NTT, with major milestones including acquisition of CyberWay ISP in 1999, merger with Singapore Cable Vision in 2002 for cable broadband launch, Nucleus Connect selection as NBN OpCo in 2009, full cable-to-fibre migration by 2019, first XGS-PON 10 Gbps broadband launch in 2023, and full acquisition of MyRepublic Broadband for S$105.2 million in August 2025 to consolidate market leadership (Source), (Source), (Source), (Source).
