About

Historically both ISP and Network Operator – operated network infrastructure (fibre-optic backbone, data centres, fibre to premises in rural/underserved areas) and also offered consumer/business broadband services as an ISP; built one of the UK's fibre-based networks since the 2000s, offering high-bandwidth connectivity to enterprises and rural communities, in 2011 rolled out fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband in rural communities (e.g. village of Broughton in Cambridgeshire) with up to 1 Gbps service, at time of acquisition network reportedly connected 55 data-centres and 48 major towns/cities across the UK, in 2014 was acquired by Interoute Communications (its network, data-centre assets and fibre backbone), after which Vtesse as an independent brand disappeared and its infrastructure became part of Interoute's infrastructure (Source) (Source) (Source) (Source).
