KPN (Koninklijke KPN N.V.) is an ISP and Network Operator that owns and operates nationwide full-fibre and copper broadband infrastructure while selling high-speed internet, telephony, and TV bundles directly to residential and business consumers across the Netherlands since its corporatization on January 1, 1989, from the former state-owned PTT, with major milestones including the launch of FTTH fiber rollouts via Reggefiber in 2005, full privatization in 2006, introduction of GPON technology in 2019 followed by XGS-PON upgrades in 2021 for multi-gigabit symmetric speeds, formation of the Glaspoort JV with APG in 2021 for €1.2 billion to add 1 million fiber passings in rural areas, acquisition of Kabeltex in 2023 for northern fiber expansion, and reaching more fiber than copper subscribers by 2022 with plans to cover 80% of households by 2026 (Source), (Source).
